Thanks Martie. I am ending my sabbatical with a road trip to gather some other letters, and will be gone between Jan. 20-Feb. 24. I am really looking forward to meeting this group upon my return.

Hello Martie! Thanks for touching base with me. I appreciate how you always manage to keep a good thought. I sincerely hope to make it to the August meet up but, honestly this oppressive weather gets me down. On a different note regarding your request for ideas on how to utilize the group (even though I haven't attended a meet up yet!); perhaps we can try to match up different skill sets for a particular project and do a little marketing to make it happen.

Sounds like you're a historical preservationist as I am so I know what you mean. I almost tear up everytime I think of Penn Station and so many others. Looking at old photographs of New York can be a painful experience when you see all that's been lost...
