Hey there Bill! I believe the recommended ferries from the Battery are our only option to get to Governors Island that early on Sunday morning. You can think of them as special chartered ferries for us b-footers. It might be possible to RETURN to Brooklyn later in the day (11AM and later) via the ferry direct to Bklyn Bridge Park @ Atlantic Ave -- not sure though.

Ahlan! I've been experimenting with barefooting in the cold, though not in deep snow, along with a few Polar Bear Club visits, and I'm surprised at how well my body adapts to the cold. I think it's actually increased my immunity: I've only gotten sick once when I got run down and depressed, but it cleared up completely in a matter of days. I hope you'll join me for some Power Yoga one of these days...Regards to you and your family.
